Founded in 1968, Fairmount Homes is a faith-based Life Plan Community rooted in Christ’s love and Mennonite values. Nestled in the rolling countryside of northeastern Lancaster County, residents enjoy a peaceful, scenic setting where neighbors care for one another and genuine community thrives. Fee-for-Service Living Options

Fairmount offers Residential Living, Personal Care, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Health Care/Skilled Nursing. Residential Living accommodations include 52 cottages, ranging from one to three bedrooms with at least a one-car garage, and 16 more cottages in development. Our 103 apartments range from studios to spacious two-bedroom layouts, providing a variety of options to meet your needs.

Perched atop a ridge with panoramic views of Lancaster County’s farmland, Fairmount blends peaceful country living with convenient access to nearby urban amenities and medical services. Residents enjoy walking trails, libraries, activity and exercise rooms, a wood shop, gift shop and heritage center, including the Muddy Creek Farm Library and Museum and the Home Messenger Library and Bookstore. 

Wellness/Life Enrichment Programs

Fairmount offers a wide range of activities and programs to promote fitness, well-being and personal growth. Residents can focus on hobbies, travel, family or volunteer opportunities on campus and in the surrounding community. Enrichment includes wellness programs, educational seminars and workshops, a summer concert series, scheduled trips, and support groups such as GriefShare, dementia support, and several weight loss programs (TOPS), all fostering health, connection and joy.
