The Outlets and Malls
Visitors travel from all over the region to visit Lancaster and enjoy the savings at the county’s two major outlet malls. As a retiree in Lancaster, you enjoy the savings all year long! Just hop in your car or call an Uber and take the short trip down Lincoln Highway to Tanger Outlets or The Shops at Rockvale, and start shopping!
Tanger Outlets – This is the newer of the two outlets in Lancaster. In 1982, Lancaster Outlet City was launched. 12 years later, it was replaced by Tanger Outlets. In 2016, work began to expand the outlets by around 50%, adding 25 new stores.
The Shops at Rockvale – Originally opened under the name Rockvale Square Outlets in 1986, The Shops at Rockvale have been a fixture in Lancaster for nearly 40 years. Beyond traditional clothing stores, Rockvale offers the Disney Store, QVC store, and more.
Park City Center – This shopping mall has been a staple of the Lancaster community since it opened to the public is 1971. The mall features several popular anchor stores, along with a bowling alley, arcade, entertainment venue, and lots of wonderful shops and treats.
